Childrens parties are all about fun and excitement and there is no better way to create that element of fun by using a Pinata at your child’s party

Pinatas are made of cardboard , decorated with crepe paper and come in a wide selection of designs. Ballet Shoe, Unicorn, Donkey and Butterfly pinatas are just a few of the designs that are available. Pinatas are designed to look good but the idea of the game is to smash them open thereby spilling all the goodies onto the floor.

The Pinatas are hollow in the middle and can be filled with sweets and party favours of your choice. To fill the pinata look for the round sticker that says “press here”. By applying a small bit of pressure the cardboard should push in allowing you to fill the Pinata. The Pinata has a plastic loop at the top. To hang the pinata you should thread a strong piece of string through this loop and hang it from a secure fixture / fitting. Ideally if the weather is good hanging the Pinata from a tree is perfect.

Once the Pinata is filled and dangled from a secure point the real fun begins. In turn each party guest is blindfolded and with the Pinata basher has to try and break open the Pinata. The cardboard is strong, so encourage all the party guests to give it a good “whack”.

Blindfolding the party guests and spinning them around a few times makes the game a little harder but adds to the sense of fun.

The game ends when the Pinata is broken and the contents spill to the floor for the guests to grab.

Pinatas are great fun when used as a party game but they can also be used as party decorations.Left hanging from a ceiling they are a great compliment to other party decorations such as balloons and streamers
